Article: A Conversation with Fabrizia Caracciolo

A Conversation with Fabrizia Caracciolo
We are delighted to continue this serie with Fabrizia — writer, editor, and decorative art consultant, renowned for her discerning curatorial eye and wonderfully eclectic interiors.

Born and raised in Italy and now living between Milan and Paris (with time spent in Gstaad), Fabrizia has spent a lifetime traveling in pursuit of beauty — from Sicilian Baroque exuberance to the quiet rigor of Neoclassical palazzi. Trained in Art History at the École du Louvre and the Courtauld Institute, and as a contributing Editor for, amongst others, Cabana Magazine, she explores exceptional places and the stories they hold.
We couldn’t be more excited to meet at her Parisian home this curious, well-traveled voice in the world of art and design — and discover the sensibility that resonates naturally with Marina Anouilh.

What led you to do what you do?
Chance — or passion! After studying law and art history, I began a career in the art world and was working as a consultant at Sotheby’s when, “on the side”, I started collaborating with interior design magazines. My close friend Martina Mondadori had just launched Cabana. And from project to project, interiors ended up becoming my main profession

Eclectic, colourful and cosmopolitan
A moment in the day when you feel most inspired?
In the morning, in that half-awake state — it’s the best time for inspiration and meditation
An outfit for an (extra)ordinary day?
White. Summer or winter, whether it’s a tuxedo, a suit or a dress! White is timeless and makes any event (extra)ordinary

Fabrizia wears the Marrakesh Denim Jacket, the Scarlet white shirt and the Marlene linen pants
A place that feels like you?
The mountains of the Swiss Oberland. Nowhere else do I feel so perfectly in tune
An unexpected mix of colors or materials?

The funniest secret about you?
My diet of champagne and ice cream
Your first memory of Marina?
Her reputation for elegance and refinement came before we met. After that, everything felt natural, because we speak the same aesthetic language
